What Is Preservé®?

Traditional breast augmentation typically requires your surgeon to cut through breast tissue and ligaments to create room for an implant. Preservé takes a different approach.

Using the Motiva® Channel Separator, your surgeon creates a tunnel to the implant pocket without cutting through your breast's supporting ligaments. The Motiva® Inflatable Balloon then gently and evenly expands that space to match the exact size of your chosen implant. Your implant goes in last, through a small incision, using a "no-touch" insertion sleeve.

Because this approach elongates rather than divides your breast's natural tissue, it's designed to leave more of your original support structure intact.

What to Expect After Surgery

You'll see Dr. Simon for a follow-up appointment within the first few days after surgery, when your surgical bra will be checked and further instructions provided. Some swelling and mild discoloration are normal initially and typically resolve within the first month.

Post-Op Activity

Because Preservé is designed to minimize disruption to your chest muscles and supporting tissue, many patients find their early recovery more comfortable than with a traditional augmentation. Avoid strenuous activity for about a week, avoid lifting anything over 5–10 lbs for the first two weeks, and hold off on chest exercise, running, or jumping for 4–6 weeks.

As with any breast augmentation, potential risks include reactions to anesthesia, bleeding, infection, changes in nipple or breast sensation, capsular contracture, and implant rupture.
